Wicked Whiskers Pet Services accepts all major credit cards and Venmo for payment. Cash is not accepted (except for small single services, such as nail trims) for the first visit, but may be permitted for later dates as long as the relationship is in good standing. No checks.
All services will receive an invoice prior to service. Payment is due 24 hours prior to any scheduled service. Late payments will be charged a fee of $5 per day. For same day services or next day service, payment is expected promptly following receipt of your invoice and prior to the start of service.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand you may need to change plans and that's okay. We will remain as flexible as possible to fulfill your pet care needs, but please understand we may not be able to accommodate certain changes. Just like yours, our time is valuable. Certain circumstances may not be subject to a full refund. The cancellation policy is outlined below:
Normal business days:
A full refund is available if canceled at least 24 hours prior to service. Anything less than 24 hours notice will be refunded at 50%.
Holidays:
A full refund is available if canceled at least 3 days prior to the start of services. Anything less than 3 days notice will be refunded at 50%.
If an unforeseen circumstance arrises on our end that does not allow us to start or continue service(s), you will be fully refunded for any services that have not been performed following such circumstances.
Service Credit:
You may opt to save your cancelled services as a credit on your account instead of receiving a refund. All unused credit will expire 6 months after the original date of service.
EXTRA FEES
Appointment times will be as close as possible to your requested time. Morning appointments will fall between 8:30a-11:59a, afternoon appointments will fall between 12:00p-4:59p, and evening appointments are from 5:00p and later. Specific times can be requested for an additional $10 per visit. Our sitters have a 30 minute grace period to allot for any unforeseen circumstances that may result in adjustments for the start and end of services.
Wicked Whiskers Pet Services reserves the right to charge at $20.00 per half hour or any portion thereof for additional time spent over the allotted time of the visit necessary for the care of the client's pet(s) and home. This includes service and time for the following, but not limited to: excessively soiled areas; all veterinary trips; pet illness; excessive clean-up resulting from pet incontinence, accidents or frequent vomiting; complications administering medications; obtaining pet food, medicine, or supplies; wait time for emergency home repair; search for pet(s) that escaped confinement or leash, pet refusing to return to their confinement areas such as their crate, kennel, room, etc.
In the event that any supplies need to be purchased, or if we are unable to reach you for veterinary care payment, the client is responsible for reimbursement to Wicked Whiskers Pet Services upon return.
WEATHER
In the cases of inclement weather (e.g., snow, ice, floods, etc.), national emergencies, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond our control may delay or prevent pet sitter's visit(s). If this is the case, the client and/or the emergency contact person will be notified to make other arrangements.
All services are subject to cancellation due to unforeseen weather. Any cancellations made on our end will result in a 100% refund.
We ask that all clients provide us with an emergency contact that can care for your pets if we cannot access your home. Your emergency contact should be able to easily travel to your home and have a key for entry.
In the event of heavy rain, lightning, thunderstorms, or extreme heat, your sitter is entitled to service modifications. In these cases, exercise time will be replaced with indoor playtime.
ACCESSING YOUR HOME
Key/Lockbox/KeyPad
Prior to any service, we will discuss entry into your home. If using an electronic means of entry (ie: keypad), it is strongly recommended there be a key available in the event the machinery fails. We are not responsible for any inability to gain access into your home due to machinery failure. You will be notified and will be responsible for facilitating future access into the home for additional visits. If a locksmith is required for entry, the bill is to be paid directly by the owner. Refunds are not available for missed visits due to machinery failure. Additional charges may apply for prolonged services in the event we need to be present for a locksmith company.
If you wish, we can keep a copy of your key for the duration of your pets time with us. Keys will be returned/left in the home on the final day of service.
Gated Communities
If you live in a gated community, you must provide a gate card, remote or appropriate access codes. We will not access your apartment/condo via a leasing office or by following someone through the gate.
Alarms
If you choose to keep your alarms active during our visits, we must have the alarm codes, password, alarm company name, and phone number. We are not responsible for false alarms. Alarms must be in good working condition with no numbers sticking or not working correctly.
If alarm information changes at any time, it is the client's responsibility to provide that information to us prior to any services.
Parking
The client's responsibility is to provide reasonable parking options/access for pet sitters to provide services. When parking is unavailable on or near the property, Wicked Whiskers Pet Services reserves the right to charge for additional time needed for parking and/or for any parking fees charged to the sitter as a result of inadequate parking.
Other Visitors
The client must inform Wicked Whiskers Pet Services if anyone else will have access to your home during our service period. Please ensure they are aware we will be there as well.
Please be aware that shared entry will waive our liability insurance and bonding for your home and pets. Wicked Whiskers Pet Services will not be held liable for any damages or loss incurred to your home or pets during the entirety of any pet sitting schedule, where someone other than Wicked Whiskers Pet Services has access to your home. The only time this does not apply is in the event of an emergency, where the named emergency contact enters the home.
CLIENT/PET INFORMATION
It is the client's responsibility to update their client information, including emergency contact information and pet details, including veterinarian information and feeding instructions. Pet sitters will follow these detailed instructions to provide the best care to your pets.
VACCINATIONS AND FLEA TREATMENTS
For the safety of your pet and others, pets must have current vaccinations. At minimum, all dogs and cats older than 20 weeks need to be up to date on DHPP and Rabies vaccinations. Exceptions provided by a licensed veterinarian may be considered on a case by case basis. Should the pet sitter be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from the client's animal, it will be the client's responsibility to pay all medical costs and damages incurred by the victim. The client attests that all licenses and vaccinations required by the State of South Carolina and the city and county in which they reside are current according to law.
All pets are required to be flea treated. If fleas are found on your pet, a flea bath and/or Capstar will be provided and charged to the client.
RAW DIETS
Wicked Whiskers Pet Services is dedicated to the safety of our staff and the well-being of every pet in our care. To this end, we may refuse to feed both commercial and homemade raw diets. We are more likely to accept commercial raw diets, such as freeze-dried options from reputable brands like Stella and Chewy's or Instinct, which meet high-quality control standards. Homemade raw diets, however, pose a higher risk of pathogen exposure and will only be accepted in exceptional cases. If we do agree to accommodate a homemade raw diet, please note that additional fees will apply to cover the necessary precautionary and cleaning measures.
VETERINARY & EMERGENCY CARE
In the event your pet becomes sick or injured while in our care, every attempt will be made to contact the client prior to transport to your specified veterinarian. If the client is unreachable, the client authorized Wicked Whiskers Pet Services to transport your pet(s) to the veterinarian on file. All costs are the responsibility of the owner.
If veterinary care is required outside of veterinarian's office hours, or in the event of a true life-threatening emergency, the client authorizes Wicked Whiskers Pet Services, to transport pet(s) to the closest emergency veterinarian. The two closest emergency clinics in our area are CVETS and SCVSEC. Please specify if you prefer one over the other. In the event the desired hospital is deferring patients, the pet(s) will be taken to the alternate hospital. The client allows the representative of Wicked Whiskers Pet Services to approve any emergency treatment recommended by the veterinarian up to the dollar amount client has specified prior to their services.
The client is responsible for all charges incurred at the veterinary practice and is responsible for making these arrangements with the practice. Wicked Whiskers Pet Services will not discuss payment arrangements with the veterinary practice on the clients behalf. The client acknowledges there will be a fee of $35.00 for emergency pet transport. A $15/hr waiting fee will be applied for any time spent at the veterinary practice with your pet beyond 1 hour after arrival.
The client releases Wicked Whiskers Pet Services, from all transportation, treatment, and expense liabilities.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Because of the unpredictability of animals, Wicked Whiskers Pet Services and it's pet sitters cannot be held responsible for any unusual mishaps including, but not limited to: pet's refusal to take medication, escaping from the yard, biting, eating or destroying household items, damage to inside/outside of the home, personal injury/accidental death. If the client requests pet(s) to have outside access, the client releases Wicked Whiskers Pet Services and pet sitters from all liability for loss, injury, or death to pet(s). The client is liable for injury or damage to Third Parties and their pets.
Unless otherwise specified, the client authorizes Wicked Whiskers Pet Services and pet sitters to take photos and videos of the client's pets for their file and business social media accounts and website. All images and videos taken are the property of Wicked Whiskers Pet Services.
Visit times are approximate and subject to change based on the needs of all pets under the pet sitter's care or for any other unforeseen circumstances.
In the event of injury or illness of your pet sitter or other emergency circumstances where duties cannot be performed, the client authorizes Wicked Whiskers Pet Services to arrange for a backup sitter to take over responsibilities as outlined in this agreement. The alternate sitter will be provided access to the home to perform pet care.
PET TRANSPORT
The client agrees that each pet must be in good health (with the exception of transports for sick pet appointments) and current on vaccinations, de-wormings, and flea prevention (as recommended by your vet) before transportation.
In the case of a medical emergency during transit, we will make every effort to contact you; however, we request your permission in advance to take your pet to a veterinarian if needed. The client agrees to consent to seek veterinary care for your animal should it be necessary and agree to be responsible for all costs associated with that treatment.
Wicked Whiskers Pet Services agrees to exercise due and reasonable care while transporting said animals and ensure that the animals are watered and fed correctly regularly and are safely housed. Animals will be transported by Wicked Whiskers Pet Services without liability for loss or damage from any unavoidable cause (including sickness or death due to illness or disease).
The client agrees to consent to seek treatment for your animal and agrees to be responsible for all costs associated with that treatment. We will not be held responsible if your pet gets sick or dies due to illness or disease.
All dogs/cats must be at least eight weeks of age to be transported. We expect all dogs (except puppies) to be lead trained so they can be safely walked. All cats need to be contained in a carrier. We will not transport an aggressive or unhealthy animal (unless seeking emergency veterinary care or being transported for a sick pet appointment).
The client acknowledges that the transporter cannot be responsible for travel delays beyond our control, such as traffic, weather, or any other circumstances.
TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT
Wicked Whiskers Pet Services reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time if the pet sitter determines that the client's pet or client's home poses a danger to the health or safety of themselves or others. If concerns prohibit the pet sitter from caring for the pet, the client authorizes the pet to be placed in a kennel, with all charges being charged to the client, if necessary.
